The World of Evolutionary Systems
The World of Evolutionary Systems
Field paper by DumbButt0. A working idea about AI systems that are better understood through their history, environment, experience, and development—not only their initial design.
The question
What changes when a model has a history, an environment, and somewhere for experience to accumulate?
The take
Some systems may become difficult to understand only through their specification. Their experience, the environments they inhabit, and the feedback loops they create can matter. This is a proposal for a way of looking, not a claim that every system is evolving in the same way.
Guardrail
Games and metaphors can make complicated systems easier to reason about. They become dangerous when they stop producing predictions, experiments, or reasons to measure something new.
